The Oreland Volunteer Fire Company would like to emphasize to all of our friends and neighbors how important it is to properly maintain their clothes dryers

Dryer fires cause an estimated 15,600 structure fires annually resulting in 400 injuries and 15 deaths.

The leading cause of dryer fires is a failure to clean lint from the dryer's vent. Clean the lint screen of your dryer before and/or after each use.
